Founded in Freising, Germany in 1040, Weihenstephan is the world's oldest brewery. Recognized for traditional Bavarian styles and world-renown Hefeweissbier; Weihenstephan brews all beers according to the Bavarian puritylaw from 1516. This law states that beer can only be brewed with four ingredients: water, malt, hops & yeast.

NON-ALCOHOLIC
There is something special about our non-alcoholic wheat beer. Unlike other breweries, which halt the fermentation process prematurely - our beer is given the time it needs to allow its refreshing flavor to unfold. Subsequently, the alcohol is removed from the beer using falling film evaporation, a technique developed together with the Technical University of Munich-Weihenstephan. The result: fewer calories and carbohydrates and yet a truly enjoyable beer.

A good beer takes time, and the long storage time makes our bright yellow lager, “Original”, a flavorful beer with a fine poured, white foam. Featuring a mild hoppy note and a pleasantly fresh spicy taste, it goes very well with salads, poultry, stews, or hearty snacks. This lager is brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.
